she sat on her roof top with a cup of tea on one hand &a rose on the other.
she remembered the night perfectly as the sun peeked over the clouds.
the sky stayed perfectly still; but her mind kept running away.
(she can't seem to catch it.)
she still smelled her breath on her neck.
the stale alcohol digging on her skin.
she chose to ignore that fact;
that fact that she could be in love.
her voice was soothing; as she silently fell asleep in her embrace.
the warmth she was longing for in years
finally was at her side.
her heart was racing on her sleeve
as she looked up to meet her chocolate gaze
nothing could tear her down now;
or so; she thought.
her tea was getting cold &her rose was slowly dying.
her hands were numb from the chilly autumn morning.
her eyes shined with new tears
&her lips spoke nothing of a broken heart.
the night was perfect as they went to her home.
candle lit dinner &a beautiful boquet of roses.
her life
was
falling
(but she didn't care to catch herself)
the night heated up;
as clothes started to come off.
&her dreams of innocence suddenly fell.
her soul left that night.
&she did nothing to help her.
her hair tangled with the wind;
as she started to move to the edge of the roof.
she tried to look down as the leaves flew past her gaze.
she wanted nothing but a two hour shower to scrub lust off of her body.
she ran as fast as she could;
as the empty words were thrown at her.
you can follow her with the trail of tears &blood;
as the rocks bruised her delicate feet.
&finally; she fell into the comforts of her cold room.
her tea was freezing cold by this time &the rose were far gone.
she jumped to reach God that night.
but her angel's wings were broken.
